Betts Metal Sales reopens Jewellery Quarter trade counter for business

Trade Counter Open 2020

Precious metal expert, Betts Metal Sales, reopened its Birmingham Jewellery Quarter trade counter for business last week (2 December).

The historic family-run firm has announced that its premises in Spencer Street will be open to the public, following the latest national coronavirus lockdown.

Despite current tier three restrictions in Birmingham, the Betts Metal Sales trade counter will remain open until Christmas shutdown begins on Friday 19 December. It will continue to offer order and collection services to customers, as well as online and rapid postal delivery.

Sister company, Betts Envirometal has operated at near full capacity during both periods of national lockdown, whilst Betts’ refining and manufacturing facilities in Buxton remain fully open.

Charlie Betts, managing director, Betts Group, said: “We are delighted to reopen our trade counter in Birmingham. The team is continuing to provide a covid-safe environment with safety measures in place, in line with the latest government guidelines. We know that many of our loyal customers are small business owners and independent retailers who rely on us, so it’s important that we can service their needs in a variety of convenient ways instore and online. As a business that has thrived on relationships for over a quarter of a millennium, we’re very much looking forward to seeing customers in person again.”

Betts Metal Sales offers a complete service proposition to jewellers, including refining services and a wide range of products and sundries such as grain, sheet, wire, bullion, wedding rings, jewelers’ tools and bespoke investment products. The company is part of the historic Betts Group, the oldest surviving precious metal refining and dealing business in the UK.
