Winners announced at UK Jewellery Awards 2021

The winners of the 2021 UK Jewellery Awards in association with the Betts Group have been revealed, following a glittering ceremony at The Brewery in London.

Over 600 guests attended the event which saw winners awarded in 21 categories spanning everything from design and customer service to successful retailing and supply.

Retailer Beaverbrooks scooped the coveted Retailer of the Year (six stores or more) accolade in addition to the Employer of the Year award. British jewellery brand, Monica Vinader followed in the footsteps of Betts Group by being named Ethical Jewellery Business of the Year, sponsored by Single Mine Origin.

And jewellery designer Shaun Leane was presented with the prestigious Outstanding Contribution to the Industry award. Retail Jeweller editor Ruth Faulkner said: “No conversation about leading UK jewellery designers is complete without the mention of the winner of this year’s prestigious Outstanding Contribution to the Industry award.

“He is a true advocate for apprenticeships in the sector and is probably this country’s best advert for just how successful you can be as a jewellery designer if you manage, as he has done, to combine forward-thinking design and exemplary craftsmanship with commerciality.”

Betts Group managing director, Charlie Betts said: “It was great to celebrate the achievements of the jewellery trade at the UK Jewellery Awards 2021. My thanks go to everyone at Retail Jeweller for organising such a successful event. Well done to all finalists and winners - they should be very proud of their efforts.

"Single Mine Origin was particularly pleased to sponsor the Ethical Jewellery Business of the Year award, and we would like to congratulate Monica Vinader Ltd on its win.”
