This compressed charcoal block is perfect for soldering due to its heat reflective properties, this allows the piece to get up to temperature quicker and creates a cleaner soldering environment. When soldering this solid carbon block creates a reducing atmosphere by absorbing the oxygen surrounding the piece, preventing oxidation and fire-stain.
