Borax Flux Cone for soldering jewellery
Details
The Borax flux cone from Betts Metals is an essential flux tool for soldering gold and silver. When combined with water using a borax dish ( TOOLSBDISH ), it creates a highly effective flux. The cone is used with a flat-bottomed borax dish by adding a small amount of water and rubbing the bottom of the cone in a circular motion. This produces a smooth, dense paste ideal for soldering.
Our borax cones are made from compact, dried flux, ensuring durability and efficiency. After use, the cone will dry out and can be reused multiple times, eventually generating enough flux for thousands of joints.
How to Use Borax flux cone:
- 1. Pour a small amount of water into a Borax Dish ( TOOLSSUBXD ).
- 2. Grind the Borax Cone with slight pressure in a circular motion to form a dense paste.
- 3. Using a Flux Brush ( TOOLSSA35C ), apply the paste to your join along with the required solder.
Whether working with precious or non-precious metals, the Betts Metals Borax Cone ensures a reliable and high-quality soldering process.
