Expanding Betts Envirometal opens new factory in Kidderminster

The UK’s leading company for silver recovery and recycling has invested in a new storage and waste management facility in the West Midlands, following a period of sustained growth.

Family-run Betts Envirometal, which recycles all forms of X-ray film for the NHS and leading aerospace businesses, has taken a five-year lease on a 6,222 sq ft industrial unit at Rushock Trading Estate near Droitwich. 

The letting will provide the waste management specialist with expanded storage and allow it to meet a growing demand for its services, having recorded a 110% increase in volume in the last 12 months and run at near maximum capacity during the first and second coronavirus lockdowns. 

Betts Envirometal has also purchased a range of new crushing and high-powered shredding equipment to improve operational efficiency and created four new jobs. 

Part of the historic Betts Group of companies, Betts Envirometal provides a total waste management solution to clients nationwide and is working towards a 100% recycling strategy with no landfill or incineration. It delivers a range of services including waste auditing, identification and assessments, site clearance, chemical disposal, confidential shredding, waste consultancy and waste electrical and electronic equipment.
